Man robbed of moped with handgun

A Myrtle Beach man was robbed of his moped at gunpoint on Saturday night. The man told police that he was riding his moped on U.S. 501 when the suspects passed him in their vehicle and made him pull over near Seaboard Street, according to an online incident report. The victim told police he owed one of the suspects about $200 for drugs. One of the suspects demanded the money, and the other pulled out a black handgun, the report states. The suspects took the moped and fled the scene – one in the car and one on the moped. Police gave the victim a ride home. He refused to press charges in the incident.
