Man gets parking fine 13 years later

Zagreb resident Jove Vrljanovic has been fined for illegal parking – 13 years later.
Vrljanovic had his car towed away by city parking authorities in May 1996 and was told he would get a court summons to pay a fine soon after.
But the case was only heard this week after courts worked their way through a backlog of other cases.
Vrljanovic, who was ordered to pay 136 Euros, said yesterday (Weds): “To be honest I had completely forgot about it until I got the summons.”
